Selected as a finalist in the Hazelhurst work on paper prize 2025, Sunset tower is part of an ongoing series exploring Melbourne's public housing towers. Iconic yet often overlooked structures that shape the city's skyline. These monolithic forms have become synonymous with both urban challenges and community resilience. Sunset tower focuses in on the structure showcasing its uniform construction yet distinct character. Horizonless and skyless, the only hints of a world beyond the tower are vague reflections in windows. The limited yet vibrant palette speaks to the many colours that concrete can appear.
